Within the life of our church we have many areas that rely on volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to support Eastwood Baptist Church and our community then here are the area's we are currently looking for help. If you volunteer to help in any area, training and support will be given. Flowers - Serving on the flowers rota can be donating the funds for the weekly flowers or helping on a rota basis in preparing the flowers for our church services. Refreshments - Serving the church in preparing, serving and washing up after the refreshments have been served on a Sunday Morning. We usually have tea, coffee and biscuits but there is always space for cake. Refreshments are a vital part of church life. Not only do we all love a cuppa but the opportunity to chat with each other after a service is so important. Sound and Media - Being on the sound and media rota includes setting up the service in the week ready for Sunday, Live streaming on the day or running the sound desk and packing away. Foodbank - Our foodbank are always looking for new volunteers as we serve our community with this vital service. Friday Club - Our Friday club are a lively lot who are full of energy. We have roles for leaders and team members. Energize - Energize are our year 7 + group that mean on a Friday. We have roles for leaders and team members. Enliven - Enliven is our new monthly youth group. Serving the youth of Eastwood. We have roles for leaders and team members. Womens Fellowship - The team are always looking for volunteers to help with setting up the service, preparing refreshments and clearing away. Communion - We serve communion once a month on a Sunday morning. If you would like to help prepare or serve communion we would love to hear from you. Reading - Each week a member of our church reads our bible verse from the front of church. If you would like to serve in this way we would love to hear from you. Weekly Prayers - Prayers are a huge part of our worship. This role involves joining a rota to write and read prayers from the front of church. One of our many volunteers Brenda has supported our Pinocchio's team for 30 years and in April 2023 she was recognised by MP Anna First for her volunteering.
